- Lawyers complete onboarding and verification before appearing in client search
- Verification covers credentials, profile completeness, and compliance documentation where required
- Clients should review profiles and experience before engaging — the platform supports informed selection
- Verification is an ongoing process, not a one-time quality guarantee
Synera Lex connects organisations with independent Australian legal professionals. We use a structured onboarding and verification process so clients can search with confidence — while making clear that clients remain responsible for assessing fit for each engagement.
What Platform Verification Includes
Before a lawyer receives platform-verified status and appears in client search, they typically complete steps that may include:
- Profile and credentials: Review of practising certificate, admission details and professional background
- References: Professional referee feedback where collected as part of onboarding
- Insurance and compliance: Documentation such as professional indemnity insurance where required for the role
- Background checks: Where applicable to the engagement type and profile
- Platform training: Orientation to Synera Lex workflows, timesheets and engagement standards
What Verification Does Not Mean
Platform verification confirms that a lawyer has completed our onboarding steps and met our platform requirements. It does not guarantee outcomes on any specific matter, substitute for your own due diligence, or replace conflict checks and engagement-specific assessments your organisation may require.
For Clients
Use lawyer profiles, experience summaries, rates and availability to assess fit. For sensitive or complex matters, apply your usual governance — including conflict screening, scope definition and reference checks where appropriate. Learn more about engaging lawyers on Synera Lex.
